“I have called you by your name; you are Mine.”
— Isaiah 43:1 HCSB
The Hall of Prayer stands for a field - the studios, the contracts, and the long redemptive future of games. That hour is intercession for a kingdom. It's prayer for the 'big picture.'
This hour is smaller, intimate, and intentionally human scale, which is why we call it the Hall of Names. We gather here for praise and petitions over a job, a child, or a diagnosis. We celebrate the promotion, the remission, and the first sonogram. This is prayer for the things that you would never put on a slide deck about the industry but these are the moments and memories that actually keep us as a people.
A name is the smallest true ask and we've found it is harder to pray in generalities once someone has been spoken aloud.
Every week
Make it personal. Keep it intimate.
A small company gathers with discretion and conviction. Someone brings a name, maybe two or even three, and enough of the story that the room can pray without gossiping. Then we trust our loving Father to keep His eternal word and we ask. We keep asking. And we note the answered petitions with praise.
We don't share the names or the wins here, that's too private, but we welcome prayer requests.
You do not need a polished intercession. You need a name you are willing to say, and a room that will not treat it as content.
What the hour is for
- Needs, thanks, or the longing of a human heart - maybe the thing you are afraid to say on your work Slack channel.
- Keeping confidence. What is spoken here is not a post.
- The ordinary prayer-group work, held in the same house as the industry hour, and not collapsed into it.
