Imladris started as a fellowship and an alliance. It is quickly becoming a movement. Imladris is fashioned out of a desire to get connected and stay connected with game makers of a similar heart, to bring unity to previously separated groups, and remove the things that keep us apart like competition, tribalism, and apathy. We are dedicated to joining our brothers and sisters on their walk on a daily basis, not for just a weekend.

Our team is made up of dedicated individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the gaming industry, and every day, our team is growing. Everyone at The Imladris Community is committed to our mission of changing the gaming and sharing our faith. 

We meet people all the time who are shocked to learn just how big gaming is as a market segment. For instance game sales (hardware & software) passed film as early as 2005 and these days, depending on how you count, it’s up over $200billion in 2023 - that’s three times film and music sales combined. 

Gamers are also a surprisingly diverse market. Nearly half of gamers are women, the average gamer age is 34, and there are more 30ish women gamers than teen boy gamers. And people are playing games all over the world! China being the largest single market and Latin America and the Middle East growing geometrically. The Entertainment Software Association provides an annual industry report and the numbers are revealing.

That said, money isn’t the point. The point is the influence gaming is having on the hearts and minds of literally billions of people around the world.

Gaming is no longer just a technology-enabled distraction it has become an art form.
